The wines and cavas produced here are amongst Spain’s finest. Sitges is just a short drive from the famous Cava producing Penedes region. Chemists rotate their opening hours after 9pm and during holidays and Sundays so you will always find at least one open. Most pharmacists speak English as well as other languages. Spain is a self-medicating country which means that you don’t have to see a doctor to get prescription. Dotted around the church are some superb galleries specialising in antiques and sculpture. Sitges has some beautiful art galleries with local artists inspired by the unique colours and lighting of the village. It should be the first item on your shopping list. A good pair of swim trunks are a must (unless you prefer the nudist beach) and there are plenty of stores which cater for all tastes and sizes. Men are particularly well catered for when it comes to fashion in Sitges You can often find a complete line of clothing from each major designer here, rather than the one or two hot sellers that the bigger stores stock, with most stores having plenty of stock and a wide selection of sizes.
